KundaliScribe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. KundaliScribe is operated by ValueSpring LLC, United States. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights when you use the KundaliScribe Android and iOS application, website, and related services.

By using KundaliScribe, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

KundaliScribe uses server-side astrology calculation and AI-generated narrative services to create both preview outputs and premium reports. Birth details you submit for report generation are processed through our systems and trusted service providers as described below. Report content is generated using large language model AI systems and is not reviewed by a human astrologer unless explicitly stated. Report generation involves automated decision-making processes using algorithmic astrology calculations and AI language models. No legal or similarly significant decisions are made solely through automated processing.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide and deliver your personalised Vedic birth chart report:

• Full Name — used to personalise your chart report
• Date of Birth — required for planetary position calculations
• Time of Birth — required for ascendant and house calculations
• Place of Birth — used to determine geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) and timezone needed for chart calculations
• Email Address — used to deliver your PDF report and related service communications
• Hashed device identifier — a non-reversible cryptographic hash of your device ID, used for rate-limiting, abuse prevention, and anonymous conversion analytics. This identifier cannot be used to directly identify you but may be considered personal data under some jurisdictions.
• Technical and operational data — such as app version, hashed IP address, push notification token (which may be considered personal data under certain privacy laws), browser or app diagnostic logs, consent timestamps, and order reference identifiers, used for abuse prevention, purchase validation, reliability, troubleshooting, message delivery, and audit logging.

KundaliScribe does not require user account registration to access report generation services.

KundaliScribe does not use tracking technologies for advertising purposes and does not link collected personal information with third-party advertising networks. We do not sell personal information as defined under applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

We do not use your submitted birth details for unrelated profiling or targeted advertising.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely as needed to:

• Calculate your Vedic birth chart, including planetary positions, houses, yogas, doshas, and related astrological details
• Generate preview content and personalised AI-written reports using large language model AI systems
• Deliver your PDF report to the email address you provide
• Process your in-app purchase through Google Play Billing or Apple App Store billing services, depending on your platform
• Respond to follow-up support requests you send regarding your purchased report
• Maintain service security, performance, reliability, fraud prevention controls, transaction validation, and consent audit records
• Send service-related push notifications, where enabled on your device, such as order status, report readiness, delivery updates, reminders, or important service notices
• Enforce our age eligibility requirements and maintain records of consent provided through the application

We do not use your information for advertising, behavioural profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the service you requested.

Legal Basis for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar privacy laws, we process your personal data only where we have a valid legal basis to do so. These bases may include: (a) your consent, including the in-app consent you provide when generating previews or purchasing reports; (b) processing necessary to provide the services you request, including generating previews and reports, delivering purchased content, sending service-related notifications you have enabled, and responding to support inquiries; and (c) our legitimate interests in maintaining the security, reliability, fraud prevention, abuse detection, payment verification, age gate enforcement, consent record-keeping, message delivery, and technical performance of our services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Third-Party Services

To operate KundaliScribe, we share limited personal data with trusted third-party service providers solely for the purposes described in this policy. These providers are contractually obligated or otherwise legally bound to protect your data and process it only as necessary to provide their services.

• Astrology calculation providers — may process submitted birth-related information, including birth date, birth time, and birth place details, to calculate planetary positions and related astrological data needed for previews and reports.
• Anthropic — may process submitted birth-related information and structured astrological inputs to generate AI-written report content using large language model systems. Birth data submitted through KundaliScribe is not used by Anthropic to train or improve their AI models under Anthropic's standard API data usage policies. Privacy Policy
• Supabase (United States) — provides cloud database infrastructure used to store audit records, including hashed device identifiers, order references, consent timestamps, and report delivery status. Supabase processes this data on our behalf and does not use it for independent purposes. Privacy Policy
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — may process app instance identifiers, device tokens, and related technical data needed to deliver push notifications you have enabled. Google may independently process certain data under its own Privacy Policy.
• Resend — may process your email address and report attachment to deliver your PDF report. Privacy Policy
• Google Play — handles Android in-app purchase processing. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Google may independently collect data under its own Privacy Policy.
• Stripe (United States) — handles web payment processing for reports purchased directly through our website. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Stripe may independently collect data under its own Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — handles iOS in-app purchase processing where applicable. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may independently collect data under its own privacy terms.
• Render (United States) and related infrastructure providers may temporarily process report data as needed to host our application, generate reports, deliver files, monitor uptime, and maintain technical reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or unrelated third parties.

Consent Records

When you use KundaliScribe, we record a timestamped log of your in-app consent, including whether you accepted the AI-generated content disclaimer before generating a preview or purchasing a report. This record includes only the time of consent, your app version, a hashed device identifier, and the outcome of the age eligibility check. No full birth data or personal identifiers beyond those listed are stored in our consent records.

These records are maintained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, and to demonstrate that appropriate disclosure was made and accepted prior to report generation.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where required under applicable data protection law, such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.

Data Retention

Generated PDF reports, preview artifacts, and related processing data may be stored on our systems for up to 60 days after last purchase to support delivery, limited re-download, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and service reliability. After that period, such data is deleted or periodically purged in the ordinary course of operations unless a longer retention period is required by law or reasonably necessary to resolve an active dispute, abuse issue, payment dispute, or security investigation.

Audit records, consent logs, technical logs, messaging records, and transaction records may be retained for up to 12 months for legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, payment dispute handling, abuse prevention, message delivery diagnostics, and operational security, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

If you would like your data deleted sooner, contact us at the address below and we will process your request within 14 business days or earlier where technically feasible.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures designed to protect your information. Data transmitted between the app, website, and our systems is sent using HTTPS encryption in transit. Sensitive identifiers such as IP addresses are stored only in hashed, non-reversible form.

Data submitted through KundaliScribe may be temporarily processed and stored on secure cloud infrastructure solely for report generation, delivery, debugging, fraud prevention, push notification delivery, consent record-keeping, and system reliability monitoring.

While we take reasonable precautions, no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

KundaliScribe is intended for users aged 18 or older. We actively enforce this requirement: our application checks the birth year submitted against the current date and will not generate a report where the birth year indicates the subject is under 18, unless a parent or legal guardian has confirmed their consent through the in-app consent flow. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate guardian consent, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Request information about how your data has been used or shared

Data Deletion Requests

You may request deletion of your personal data by emailing us at kundaliscribe@gmail.com or by submitting a request at Delete My Data. To help us locate your records, please include the email address used for the order and any report reference details available to you.

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete processing within 14 business days, subject to any applicable legal, fraud-prevention, payment-dispute, or security retention requirements.

Interpretive Content Disclaimer

Reports generated by KundaliScribe are based on traditional Vedic astrology calculations and interpretive content produced by large language model AI systems. These reports are provided for informational, reflective, and personal insight purposes only. No human astrologer review is performed.

KundaliScribe does not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice, and no report content should be relied upon as a substitute for qualified professional guidance.

Push Notifications

If you enable push notifications on your device, KundaliScribe may send service-related messages such as report readiness, order status updates, reminders, and important service notices. Push notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging.

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device or app notification settings. Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the core report generation services, but you may miss status updates or delivery alerts.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of KundaliScribe after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy, to the extent permitted by law.
